The Obama Effect

When Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, many believed that we had entered "post-racial America". Nearly four years later, we don't need Maury's lie detector to determine that to have been false. However, that doesn't mean there hasn't been any progress when it comes to equality. Have things gotten better? Are we closer to that "post-racial" fantasy? Or are incidents like the murder of Trayvon Martin, the modern day Emmitt Till, proof that the race issue is actually getting worse? Speak on it!
