Unfortunate studies show that students of color will likely be hit with student loan debt much harder than their White counterparts.

With talks of the interest rates on federal Stafford Loans to double beginning July 1st, 2012, it is expected that students of color will have a much harder time paying these loans back following their graduation. A study by the College Board Advocacy and Policy Center found and reported that debt of $30, 500 or higher were more prevalent among Black bachelor degree recipients.
