The star singer/songwriter's message -- which was written on a $200,000 check to the fast food chain -- was a response to Chipotle suing him for a breach of contract

Chipotle says it paid singer Frank Ocean $212,500 for a song he never delivered. Frank Ocean says "F*ck off."

The Mexican chain filed suit Friday in Los Angeles, claiming Ocean had agreed to record a cover of "Pure Imagination" for its viral "Scarecrow" ad campaign, but backed out after they advanced him the first half of his fee. Ocean's legal team says he was deceived, shown a video with no Chipotle branding, and told the song would be used in a campaign to promote responsible farming. They also claim Ocean was promised final approval on the project.

Ocean himself had a much more direct response. He wrote Chipotle a check for the full amount of the advance, wrote "F*CK OFF" in the memo line, and posted it on his Tumblr without comment.
