On an upcoming episode of Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show, Cooper asks Janet Jackson if she is joining "The X Factor's" judging panel. The 45-year-old pop music star is the latest name thrown into the mix of would-be potential co-judges to fill the seat vacated by Paula Abdul. Jackson, who sidestepped the question, said to Cooper, "No, I am not. But that's all I really think I should say."

In the first season of the popular singing competition, Fox dropped Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger as judges and host Steve Jones was axed as well. L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell will return as judges, but after Cowell squashed rumors of Beyonce and Mariah Carey joining the fracas, will "The X Factor" become The Rhythm Nation?
