Ne-Yo Moves to Motown

Between penning Billboard hits, featuring on chart-topping tracks, and starring in action-packed blockbusters, Ne-Yo has added yet another impressive role to his already staggering resume. This year, the Grammy award-winning crooner will be leaving Def Jam to join Motown Records. Not only will Ne-yo be added to the label's roster, but he will also serve as the company's senior Vice President of A&R, a role that seems to have taken the backseat at many labels thanks to the internet. Yet, given Ne-Yo's gift for making hits, he should have no problem discovering, producing and mentoring the label's new and current artists.

"I'm honored that I've been given such a prestigious title and trusted with such responsibility," says Ne-Yo. "[I'm also] terrified because I know that playing this role in the fashion of one of my career role models, Mr. Smokey Robinson -- these are big shoes to fill. But trust, I can handle it." In addition to his new executive role, Ne-Yo will be on The Voice serving as a mentor for Cee-Lo Green's team. He is currently starring in 'Red Tails' and working on his fifth studio album. Talk about your motivation!

Does A&R seem like the right fit for Ne-Yo? Will he be able to manage all of these roles? Or will one of his talents suffer from the overload?
