What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?:
My most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen was this past summer. I spent my summer break volunteering with a seven week enrichment program to assist at-risk teenage girls. The camp was sponsored by HER Faith Ministries, which provides a myriad of services to homeless and needy women and children. The camp provided enrichment experiences for girls between the ages of 12 and 15. I worked as a junior camp coordinator leading daily devotions, reciting of the camp pledge, enrichment discussions about African American women of courage and strength; also accompanying teens on camp outings and field trips. I had the opportunity to share some of my educational and life experiences with these young ladies. In ways that could help to build their self confidence, self respect, self love, and inner beauty.
