What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?:
My most memorable contribution as Campus Queen is the time when I held my first event entitled: "If you really knew me." The outline of this program brought different bodies of students under one roof to experience a deeper connection amongst their fellow peers. By this, the young ladies were not only able to view the differences in their lives but the similarities of experiences in which they face. Tools of communication and personal growth were used to allow young ladies to embrace their authentic selves. That is why, with the simple lead-in sentence, 'If you really knew me,' it naturally opened a doorway to a sense of vulnerability and truth that we all crave. In hopes to become a beacon of light, I personally allowed that sense of vulnerability and exposure to be an example of understanding my true purpose. As an outcome of this event, series of relationships were built along with a sense of peace. Thanks to my slumber party theme, the ladies wore to their best PJ's, snacked on cookies and pancakes, participated in team building activities, and understanding living outside the box regardless of society judgement.
