What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?:
My most memorable contribution as Campus Queen occurred this past August when my beloved city of Houston was hit with one of the most destructive hurricanes the United States has ever seen. When the storm hit, my royal court and I were attending our first football game of the season at Florida A&M University. Due to the devastation, we could not return to campus and were re-routed to Atlanta. While in Atlanta, our fellow HBCU's, Clark Atlanta, Spelman and Morehouse organized a prayer vigil and band together to help us raise funds for the flood victims. This display of generosity, hope, and genuine kindness spoke volumes as to the purpose and special bond HBCU's across this country possess. Their strength and love will forever be imprinted on my heart and the heart of each young man and woman of Texas Southern University. We are Houston Proud and Houston Strong.
