Upon my arrival to Bethune-Cookman University, I have been involved in various organizations on campus. I am a member of the Pre-Alumni Council, Student Orientation Leaders, Junior Class Executive Board serving as the Vice President, Resident Assistant, and a newly elected member to the Student Government Association.
Leisure ActivitiesAside from excelling in academics and as a historian, I enjoy learning about various locations and their histories, most recently being on a student panel where we gained more knowledge about the Daytona Beach community during the time period in which Dr. Bethune lived and served as President of Bethune-Cookman College. Socially, I enjoy reading, dancing, and spending time on the beach with friends.I also enjoy listening to jazz music and traveling to various locations across the country. Previously, I have enjoyed being a dance performer, as I have been a Colorguard/Winterguard student for four years.
Career GoalsUpon completion of my undergraduate career, I would love to teach history on the secondary school level in impoverished or underprivileged areas. Eventually, my life-long goal is to work in legislation, becoming a policy maker for Elementary and Secondary schools within the U.S. Department of Education. I look forward to implementing effective rules for the education of all students within the United States, ensuring that our children are able to compete academically with all other children around the globe.
Most memorable contribution as a Campus QueenMy most memorable contribution as a campus queen is definitely being given the opportunity to positively impact the lives of my university. As I allow God to use me as His humble servant, I have been blessed to have mentored numerous students ranging from freshmen and sophomore males and females in my various leadership roles on campus. It is an amazing feeling to watch someone develop and progress over time, and to be placed in someone's life and serve as a facilitator of this development is truly an honor. I look forward to continuing all that I have begun as a student leader, spreading God's love among the student body, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters of Bethune-Cookman University.
