After I obtain my degree in English with a minor in Telecommunications, I plan to further my education in Crisis/Emergency Management. Continuing my life's theme of service, I would like nothing more than to simply help those in unfortunate situations and offer a better outlet and/or solution. Most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen
My loving university family has supported me through each of my service initiatives. We donated dozens of Build-A-Bears to our local branch of St. Jude's Children's Hospital so their patients could have a personal friend to hold during treatment. To celebrate Christmas, we joyously gave over 100 presents to the children of the Huntsville, Alabama Housing Authority and rose early Saturday mornings to clean and restore the campus that our founder and ex-slave, Dr. William Hooper Councill, gifted to us in May of 1875. Throughout my reign I proudly enjoyed witnessing my student body, alumni, faculty and staff come together for service. We definitely proved our motto true, "Service is Sovereignty"!
