Career Goals

Most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen

My reign as Miss Fayetteville State University just began on April 14, 2012. However, I am excited about the prospect of representing such a great university that prepares young men and women to be 21st Century global scholars, and I embrace the opportunity to be able to speak on a topic that is a cancer in our society: domestic violence. According to statistics from the National Organization for Women, 1,181 women lost their lives as a result of domestic violence in 2005. That's an average of three women every day. This violence must come to an end and advocates for women who are victims of abuse must come forward and be heard. As an aspiring attorney who hopes to attend the Harvard University School of Law, it is my goal to serve as a voice for those caught up in this cycle of abuse by bringing stability and restoring dignity back into their lives.
