As the newly elected Miss Tuskegee University 2013-2014, I am honored to hold this title. I am thrilled to serve as a representative of the legacy of high standards of excellence, in order to impact the lives of students, faculty, staff, and community citizens. During the 2013-2014 academic term, I aim to stand on my campaign theme, "The Dash: Paying It Forward." My intent is to create an environment in which all students are allowed the opportunity to become more involved. Students can "pay it forward" by volunteering with countless organizations, schools, and churches in our county and beyond. Secondly, I am passionate about spreading knowledge about healthy eating and exercise. I plan to commit my time and efforts to hosting healthy living events for the campus community. Lastly, my most exciting goal it to pioneer a non-profit organization for my university's young ladies. Each month, we will tackle and address issues that negatively influence the self-esteem and integrity of women. I am hopeful that my contributions to my university will spur a continuous evolution of positive change.
