If you are a woman who owns a small business based in Chicago, here’s good news.

The Small Business Majority, in conjunction with Accion, will present a free seminar aspiring entrepreneurs and women who own small businesses.

The event, which takes place Tuesday in Chicago, includes an “interactive presentation and discussion with experts as well as local business owners,” according to a press release sent to EBONY.

Small Business Majority and Accion will also introduce SimpleGrowth, a free lending tool that seeks to connect local businesses in the city with local lenders.

The seminar begins at 6 p.m. at 5825 W. Corcoran Place.

The Small Business Majority was founded and run by small business owners. Its mission is to ensure that entrepreneurs are a key part of America’s economy. The organization has a network of more than 55,000 small business owners who support public policy solutions. They also seek to deliver information and resources to entrepreneurs to promote small business growth.

Accion is a global nonprofit. It is committed to creating financial services, in hopes of one day including a “financially inclusive world,” according to its website. The organization prides itself on catalyzing “financial service providers to deliver high-quality, affordable solutions at scale for the 3 billion people who are left out of—or poorly served by—the financial sector.”
