In honor of Women’s History Month, Rosalyn (Ros) Gold-Onwude announced the launch of a new scholarship program for young women.

According to a press release sent to EBONY, the NBA reporter wants to help women of color who are interested in breaking into the sports and sneaker industry arenas.

Gold-Onwude plans to give scholarship recipients access to online certificate courses offered by Columbia and FIT.

Both industry courses are instructed by faculty affiliated with the respective universities. Industry leaders like Doug Smoyer, Jeron Smith of Stephen Curry 30 Inc. and more, according to the press release.

More information on the scholarships will be disclosed in the coming weeks.
