What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?: My fondest contribution as a campus queen would be traveling across the nation to recruit the best and brightest students. I have used untraditional methods to recruit students while lending a helping hand to assist with college applications, scholarships, and other forms of preparation. During my reign, I have dedicated my time and efforts to changing the stereotypes and limited perception of the traditional campus queen. Growing up in the South, I was sometimes told that ladies should be seen and not heard. However, Â The essence of a queen is measured not by how she wears her crown, but her voice, her actions, and the impact she leaves on the community she serves. I have dedicated my efforts to uplifting the next generation of leaders through empowering words, initiatives, and service. I have rallied against pressing issues, and spoken out against injustice, and reiterated the essence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
