After Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English Liberal Arts, I plan to teach in a Kipp (Knowledge is power Program) school as a Middle school English teacher, while working on my masters degree in educational administration. Once I have taught for a few years my ultimate goal is to open a STEAM academy (science, technology, engineering, and arts) which will encourage them to enter into HBCU’s across the United States.
What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?:
The only time that immediately comes to my recollection is the time I encountered a women of need while walking to my hotel she politely asked if she could have the remaining of my meal. After this life changing experienced I started an on campus initiative in conjunction to the national initiative of Random Acts of Kindness Organization. This week long event allows others to step outside of their comfort zone, and think of others over themselves. It also allows me to go out into my community and encourage the children of our future to be kind to others and know being kind will always take you further in life verses being rude. This year will be my second time organizing this program on campus and I expect it to grow far beyond my campus and community but really become a life style for others, to be kind and kindhearted.
