Ashanti picked the perfect comeback partner for her return to music. The former First Lady of Murder Inc is linking up with Ty Dolla $ign for her upcoming single “Say Less.”
Yesterday, the R&B songstress arrived at 1OAK in style followed by her star-studded entourage that included Tyrese, R. Kelly, DJ Mustard, YG, and Ty for her pre-birthday celebration. At the party, she performed a few of her classics as well as previewed her new single.
The new single will follow last year’s Hamilton collab with Ja Rule, which may lead to an album in the coming months. A new project from Ashanti will be the first in three years since 2014’s Braveheart. She also mentioned the single during an interview with TMZ, which you can check out below. When asked about recent allegations facing her former boyfriend Nelly, she aptly responded with: “I have a new song coming out. It’s called ‘Say Less.’ It sounds dope.”
