Listen, Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay are not playing around.

Tuesday night, OWN set TV screens–and ratings–on fire when the network debuted its new scripted series, Greenleaf. The juicy family drama takes TV-watchers inside the dysfunctional Greenleaf clan as they struggle to keep their skeletons firmly locked away in the closet. The series, which pulled in more than 3 million viewers Tuesday night, has a superstar cast, which includes vets like Oprah Winfrey, Lynn Whitfield, Keith David, Lamman Rucker, Ben Patterson, and newcomer Merle Dandridge.

Part one of the two-night premiere had fans tweeting their hearts out, and Greenleaf trended for hours. While folks found themselves wrapped up in the drama, OWN dropped another gem that got people talking even more.

During a commercial break for Greenleaf, OWN gave viewers a sneak peek at Ava DuVernay’s upcoming series Queen Sugar.

Based on Natalie Baszile’s novel, the show is set in the South after Hurricane Katrina and follows the lives and loves of the Bordelon siblings, who are forced to work together to run their family’s ailing sugarcane farm. Though the show doesn’t hit airwaves until the fall, the 20-second teaser had viewers ready for more.
