BET Cancels ‘The Quad’ After Two Seasons

BET drama The Quad will not be returning to the network’s lineup next year, as executives have made the decision to cancel the series less than a week after its season two finale.

Deadline reports the show starring Anika Noni Rose, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Sean Blakemore and Jasmine Guy took a drastic dip in ratings between seasons one and two.  The latter averaged a 0.2 in the adults 18-49 demographic and 553,000 viewers per episode in Live+Same Day, according to Nielsen. That’s 30% lower than season one.



Co-creator Felicia Henderson shared her thoughts on the cancellation with fans via social media. Read her full letter below.

Cancellation of The Quad comes less than a year after Gabrielle Union-drama Being Mary Jane was let go by the network last fall.
