D’Angelo Releases New Single From Upcoming Album
Well, kindasorta… if you consider a nearly 10-year-old live cover of someone else’s song “new.” On September 14, 1995, D’Angelo performed a show at the Jazz Café in London, which made way for a live LP only released in Japan. Now the man that made every woman in the ’90s fall in love with one video is rereleasing that album with five more tracks, the lead single being his unreleased jazzy rendition of Al Green’s “I’m Glad You’re Mine.” Live at the Jazz Café, London: The Complete Show is due next Tuesday for all you D’Angelo fans left fiending for a fix since Voodoo. Keyshia Cole Confirms Split From Hubby and Beyoncé Beef
It’s official folks: Keyshia Cole and her hubby Daniel “Boobie” Gibson are split like peas and bad hair ends. Although R&B’s first thug diva (well, second after Mary J. Blige) avoided answering most questions about her ex, she did say that they “co-parent,” admitted that she strongly dislikes him, and revealed that she didn’t know if they could work it out. (Welp, that’s a wrap.)
As far as they Beyoncé/Michelle Williams/Destiny’s Child beef goes, Keyshia says the “Bow Down (I Been On)” record hurt her feelings, and she felt like fans jumped on her because she’s viewed as the “ghetto chick” who’s always starting mess. But her shady remarks about Michelle’s Super Bowl performance was retaliation for a slick comment Ms. Sanctified made on Twitter—which she later deleted, so no one knows what Keyshia’s talking about. (Sigh.) Keyshia needs to really get like MJB and tell herself “no more drama.”

Pitchfork Festival Adds Danny Brown, Schoolboy Q, SZA and Earl Sweatshirt
Chicago’s annual Pitchfork Festival just added a few more rap artists to blacken up the mostly White rock celebration. Joining the ticket with Pusha T, trippy singer Kelela, Isaiah Rashad and Kendrick Lamar are fellow MCs Danny Brown, Schoolboy Q, Earl Sweatshirt and Top Dawg’s first lady, SZA. (For a minute, it was looking really lonely for hip-hop.) The festival will be held from Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20, so if you’re down for a little rock-rap action, tickets are on sale now.
