Rihanna to Receive Fashion Icon Award at CFDA Fashion Awards

Say what you want about Rihanna, but one thing you have to admit is the girl is definitely a fashion killa. Her bodacious style (doobie pins and all) will be celebrated with the Fashion Icon of the Year Award at the 2014 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awards ceremony on June 2. The honor also comes as recognition for her work with the MAC Aids Fund Viva Glam Campaign. Props to bad gyal and all her multiple hair weaves, peek-a-boo tops and poom-poom shorts. She couldn’t have done it without ’em.

Erykah Badu Sings “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” in Front of a Group of Nuns

When Kendrick Lamar made “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” apparently the message was intended for any and everyone, including Bible-toting nuns—just ask Erykah Badu. The eccentric singer took a break from naked-street running and hypnotizing rap stars to serenade a group of old Virgin Marys with the first line in the chorus of K. Dot’s ever-so-popular anthem before the video cut off. She sang, “I am a sinner, who’s probably gonna sin again/Looord…” while smacking on some bubblegum and running the camera on the shamed soldiers of mother Mary. I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to douse the devil out with some holy water when the camera stopped rolling.
