Rihanna Signs to the Roc

K. Michelle should get an endorsement for her Muppet talk

Rihanna Signs to Roc Nation

Back in 2010, Rihanna announced that she’d inked a deal with Roc Nation management, but now it’s looking like her next LP will be stamped with that infamous Illuminati diamond. That’s right, Rihanna is no longer a Def Jam artist, but an official member of the Roc Nation. This is not far-fetched, considering Jay Z has always been instrumental in RiRi’s lascivious music career, signing the then 17-year-old singer to Def Jam when he was president/CEO back in 2005. So it only makes sense… but we all know this is only more ammo for those secret society conspiracy theories.

K. Michelle and Tamar Braxton Reignite Old Feud

And the saga continues… just when you thought both K. Michelle and Tamar Braxton had popped their meds and taken that long walk over to the civil side, the two are right back to bashing one another on social networking sites. It all started when Ms. Braxton blamed K. of accusing her of lip synching, calling her a “Yuck Mouth Muppet.” (I have a headache from just writing this petty mess.) K. Mart (as Tamar would call her) fired back with a picture of Kermit the Frog that she posted on Instagram, captioned with a message about how she’s been trying to change but “Miss Piggy” won’t leave her be, even after supporting Tamar’s non-existent role in Muppets Most Wanted. (All I know is these two should be getting an endorsement deal from Disney.) T. has yet to respond, so let’s hope they both finally decide to leave the drama to reality TV.

The Roots’ 4th of July Jam Adds Nicki Minaj

For the fourth year in a row, The Roots are lighting up the City of Brotherly Love with their annual 4th of July Jam. The festival will feature performances from luminaries like Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Aloe Blacc, and of course, The Roots themselves. But all you Barbz can expect to catch your girl Nicki Minaj twerking down the stage with her bodacious booty, because she’s just been confirmed as a contributor to the free summer concert. If you won’t be able to witness the festivities unfold in person, the 4th of July Jam will air on VH1 and Palladia this year at 8 p.m. EST, and stream online at PhillyJam.VH1.com.
