[BLACK POP DAILY] Wale Smacks Down Hater at WWE Show

Will the N.W.A movie beat the Tupac biopic to theaters?

Wale Lays the Smackdown on Disrespectful Anti-Fan at WWE Show in D.C.

An outspoken, hyper-reactive, Tupac-tempered MC, Wale is known for tweefing (that’s Twitter-beefing, folks). But don’t think that he ain’t ’bout more than that tweet life, because he will do away with the 140 characters and bring the noise to your front door—or your seat at a wrestling show. Just ask the loud-tweeting, anti-Wale guy at WWE last night in D.C. who thought it was a good idea to call out Mr. Hothead on Twitter in his hometown… as he sat a few seats away. “You at Monday night raw f--kboy? Come see me in the ring and catch this stunner @wale,” wrote @Chefboyrnach.

Apparently, that wasn’t a good idea. Wale saw the tweet just in time and after inquiring exactly where this @Chefboyrnach was, made his way to the guy’s section and Stone Cold’d him! (Be careful what you wish for.) Olubowale “The Gift-Giver” Akintimehin claims he only “asked a question” when probed about it on Twitter. But other patrons in attendance say he laid a better smack-down than the wrestlers performing onstage before security came and saved dude from being the main show. Lesson of the day: don’t talk smack about Wale!

N.W.A Biopic to Begin Production This Summer

Get ready for some cop killin’ gangsta rappin’, because N.W.A’s long-awaited biopic is finally on its way. The F. Gary Gray-directed flick about the legendary rap group’s rise to fame is set to begin production this summer. Ice Cube and Dr. Dre are wearing producer caps, alongside the late Eazy-E’s widow, Tomika Wright, and Cube’s frequent-collaborator, Matt Alvarez. All I know is, as long as they made us wait, Straight Outta Compton better have more juice than those jheri curls they used to rock back in the day.

Kanye West Postpones Tour Dates to Finish New Album

If you’re a Kanye West fan in Australia, you’re probably ready to pull a Kanye. But if you’re a Yeezy buff anywhere else in the world, chances are you’re feeling like Ye post-Vogue cover, because Ye just postponed his tour dates Down Under to finish up his next album. The announcement was delivered via a press release on Roc Nation’s official site, detailing that the abrupt change is a result of “unexpected timing requirements,” so the concert dates have been pushed back from May to September. This is great news for all of you who think Yeezus was brilliant, but maybe not-so-good for the rest of us who believe it was slighty, kindasorta, just a tad bit… special.
