Will Smith Is Bringing Hitch to TV

The date doctor is coming to small screen. Nine years after Will Smith schooled us all to the art of the pick-up in Hitch, the classic 2005 chick flick is being adapted into a 30-minute sitcom. The single-camera series is being described as “a workplace comedy that explores dating and sexual politics,” according to Entertainment Weekly. A refresher on the original romcom: Smith (as Hitch) gives the swagless Kevin James (Albert) lessons on how to attract the woman of his dreams, and in the process, falls for Eva Mendes’s character, a cynical tabloid reporter. Will serves as executive producer of the TV revamp alongside wife Jada-Pinkett. Now that’s a hookup.

Halle Berry Relaunches Scandale Lingerie Line

Here’s some good news from one of Hollywood’s baddest chicks: Halle Berry is reviving a storied lingerie line. The Academy-Award winning actress is taking the helm of Parisian lingerie brand Scandale and relaunching it as a line of 10 bras and panties that will sell at Target. As an owner of Scandale, the impossibly 48-year-old Berry plays a hands-on role in design. “We’ve kept all the qualities of the Parisian sort of style intact,” says Berry, currently starring on the sci-fi CBS series, Extant. “I think I have a pulse on what American women want.” Despite the brand’s rich history, the sexy undergarments will sell at an affordable price point, capping at 20 bucks.

Tyrese and Sanaa Lathan Just Might Be Dating

Are Tyrese Gibson and Sanaa Lathan a match made in Black cinema heaven? Looks that way. The two movie stars were spotted at the Cheesecake Factory by one of TMZ’s annoying cameramen on Wednesday night. In a short clip, Tyrese stocks a white Range Rover with some takeout before jumping in the driver’s seat, as Sanaa visibly rides shotgun. TMZ says couple-alert rumors have persisted for years, and points to the video—as well as a Sanaa Instagram photo posted later that night, allegedly taken at Tyrese’s home—as conclusive evidence. Best wishes to the new power couple.
