Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson Set to Launch Bobbi Kristina’s Music Career

As the saying goes, the apple really doesn’t fall too far from the tree, because Bobbi Kristina wants to be a star singer just like her late mother, Whitney Houston. (And yeah, well, like her dad Bobby Brown too.) A source close to former American Idol judge Randy Jackson claims he is cooking up a plan to have little Bobbi climbing up the pop charts in less than 12 months, and his homegirl Mariah Carey is right on board. The two industry veterans were extremely close with Whitney before she passed, so they want to do everything in their power to see the late singer’s only seed blow up just like her mother did back in the day. Good luck Bobbi! We’ll be watching and waiting.

Dr. Dre Sues Death Row for Unpaid Royalties

Boy oh boy: it’s 2014 and we’re still talking about Death Row Records? (Am I the only one who thought they disappeared when we hit the year 2000?) Anyway, Dr. Dre is suing the used-to-be poppin’ rap label for over $3 million in unpaid royalties. Since Suge Knight filed for broke bankruptcy and left the imprint to a Canadian company called WIDEawake back in 2006, the weight is off his shoulders. But I don’t know why Beats by Dre is tripping. He knows he has enough cash to cover those royalties and buy this struggle company in its entirety.

Rick Ross Pays $5.8 Million for Evander Holyfield's Mansion

You know a rapper has reached boss status when he’s buying the old home of a famous boxer. (Just ask 50 Cent.) So clearly Rick Ross is really as rich as he says he is, because he just dropped $5.8 million on Evander Holyfield’s old Fayette, Georgia mansion—the biggest single family home in the state with one of the largest private pools in the country. (Ugh!) Evander was forced out of the estate due to a deep debt mostly dug out by unpaid taxes. (Hey, when it costs you a million a year to maintain a crib….)
