Carolina Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton was in a two-car collision near Bank Of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC this afternoon. Reports from high ranking officials in the Panthers organization report that both Newton and the other driver were transported to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and pictures surfaced on social media of Newton being both conscious and smiling at the scene. It was also reported that Newton's car flipped over at least three times. There's no word on whether Newton will miss any game time from the accident, and that he was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures. Players from around the league sent well wishes to Newton on Twitter. More on the story as it develops.
