Ric Wilson is a rapper and Chicago-based organizer with Black Youth Project (BYP 100) and We Charge Genocide, the coalition that recently traveled to Geneva to deliver a report to the United Nations about human rights violations committed at the hands of the Chicago Police Department. His latest single, “If I Were White,” examines the frustrations many Black and Brown youth feel in a society that privileges Whiteness and stifles people of color.
