Damion Poitier, best known for his role as Duprez on HBO’s “True Blood,” will star as Thanos in either the next ‘Avengers’ movie or “Guardians of the Galaxy” — the next Marvel project.
Thanos is a derivation of Thanatos, the personification of death and mortality in Greek mythology. In comic book lure, he is the most powerful of the Titans, and should be a formidable foe for whoever has to face him in the next installment of billion-dollar grossing hit. A rising actor as talented as Poitier should definitely be able to pull this role off, and we’re looking forward to seeing him in it.
