In 2008, Dwyane Wade was the leading scorer on an Olympic team that won the gold medal in Beijing. But now, Flash will be missing this summer's games. Wade, who averaged 22.6 points per game during Miami's series against Oklahoma City in the NBA Finals, needs surgery on his left knee and will miss the London Olympics.

The Miami Heat guard called USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski on Thursday and let them both know that he is not healthy enough to participate in the Olympics. There's no word yet on who will replace him.
