Philly rapper Eve is ready to transition from music to television. The Ruff Ryder has officially signed on to co-host the CBS talk show The Talk.

The “Satisfaction” MC will join hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood, replacing comedian Aisha Tyler, who announced her departure in June and made her last appearance during the Season Seven finale in August.

Tyler’s departure was an emotional one, with Sharon Osbourne wishing her well while denying her exit was made on bad terms.

“You have the best work ethic of anyone I’ve worked with,” Osbourne told Tyler. “I admire your freedom and your bravery. The world’s just waiting for you. And you’re going to do great things. We’re going to talk about it here.”

The stand-up said she’d simply become too busy to continue her job on the daytime talk show, between three other TV shows and launching another career as a director, which she realized she wanted to devote more attention to.

In addition to The Talk, Tyler is also a series regular on  the CBS drama Criminal Minds, hosts Whose Line Is It Anyway? and lends her voice to hit animated series Archer.

Eve joins the crew after an impressive week as guest host last month, according to The Hollywood Reporter
