In an unflinching look at the Ferguson uprising following the death of Mike Brown, an unarmed teen who was shot by police officers in August 2014 and left laying in his blood for hours, comes the intense documentary, Whose Streets?

From directors Sabaah Folayan and Damon Davis, Whose Streets is told from the perspective of activists and leaders who live and breath the movement for justice. The death of Brown sent Ferguson, Missouri in an uproar with various protests and a call for the police department to be held accountable for their actions. Amid rising racial tensions and grief, citizens of the community, parents, teachers and artists from around the country came together as freedom fighters to combat injustice. Folayan and Davis were right there with them, not only as creative activists, but as part of the communities’ fabric.
“As  the national guard descends on Ferguson with military grade weaponry, these young community members become the torchbearers of a new resistance,” states a release sent to EBONY.

With a refusal to let their voices go unheard, the docu-film leads with the empowering message and strong belief:

“It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win.
We must love and support one another. We have nothing to lose but our chains.”
