WGN America is gearing up for Underground, a riveting, new series about a group of slaves plotting their escape. While the drama doesn't premiere until early next year, the network has released the first trailer to give us a glimpse of what's to come.
Starring Jurnee Smollett Bell and Aldis Hodge, the story centers on a group of servants organizing a 600-mile trek north of their Georgia plantation. With the help of some abolitionists managing a station on the Underground Railroad, the laborers must dodge the forces attempting to keep them in bondage.
