Those wondering whether Frank Ocean's sharing of his personal life would negatively affect his album's release can now put their questions to rest. The singer's first studio album "Channel Orange" made an impressive debut on the charts, coming in at number two according to Billboard. What makes this feat even more outstanding is that no radio single from the album had been released prior to the debut.

Ocean's success is expected to continue, with "Channel Orange" slated to move 130,000 digital units, an amount that most male R&B newcomers of recent could only dream of moving. As of right now, the only other male crooner in Ocean's lane is Chris Brown, whose latest studio album "Forever" sold 135,000 in its first week after releasing several radio singles and heavy promotion.
