Gabrielle Union is teaming up with her Being Mary Jane executive producer Will Packer for the heart-pounding thriller, Breaking In.
With the future of Being Mary Jane up in the air, Union and Packer shine on the big screen with Breaking In. Union will star in the film which centers on a woman who fights to protect the ones she loves during a home invasion. Breaking In is definitely giving us Jennifer Lopez in Enough vibes.
The forthcoming film is bound to have a ton of action sequences since James McTeigue who is known for his work on V for Vendetta will be sitting in the director’s chair. In addition to producing Breaking In, Union has executive produced the TV movie With This Ring, Being Mary Jane and the film Almost Christmas. Will Packer has made a name for himself as a prolific producer. His latest film, Girls Trip which stars Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tiffany Haddish, and Queen Latifah is headed to theaters on July 21.
Breaking In will begin filming this July. There is now word yet on who else has been cast in the film, but we’ll probably know soon enough. This is not the only forthcoming action flick with a Black female lead. Taraji P. Henson is currently filming Proud Mary in the Boston area.
