The HBCU College Football season came to an exciting finish during the 2016 Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl between the Grambling State University Tigers and the North Carolina Central Eagles.

The game opened college football bowl season on Saturday and, true to form, was the most festive with not only Black college tradition coming to the Georgia Dome, but the pageantry of the cheer and marching squads, the generations of alumni and of course some of the best athletes the SWAC and the MEAC has to offer.

Grambling narrowly defeated NCCU 10-9 after an extra point kick failed to go through, which was pushed back 15 yards because of excessive celebration by the Eagles after a touchdown pass.
