Vanity Wonder is a 30-year-old mother of two who came close to jail time and survived the addictive world of butt injections. In her new tell-all, Shot Girls, she reveals why she spent $15,000 on injections and sheds light on who else is indulging in the underground cosmetic trend. “So many people tell so many lies about the women who get injections," she told The Daily Mail. "It's such a secretive thing. I decided to tell people rather than letting them just guess."

Over a period of five years, Wonder had over 16 illegal injections, resulting in 34"-23"-45" measurements. “I started in 2006– this is when everything was hush, hush, hush. You had to search to find this stuff," she recalled. "Now anyone on the corner will inject you with whatever they buy at the Kwik-E-Mart or at the gas station." Cases of women being injected with cement and dying prompted the former Detroit-based exotic dancer to relive her experience. “Women are dying. They are so thirsty for these, they go to whoever they can find. Then people want to exploit this and that's where the problems come in.”
