Issa Rae is staying busy during the Insecure off-season, developing two new projects for her home network, HBO.

The author is confirmed to executive produce Him or Her, a comedy which chronicles the dating life of a bisexual black man and the issues that come with. Daily Show writer Travon Free is set to co-executive produce, according to Deadline. Rae’s ColorCreative.TV partner Deniese Davis will also EP the comedy along with 3 Arts with Full Frontal writer Free penning the series.

Rae is also developing coming-of-age series Sweet Life, a drama set in Windsor Hills, an affluent Los Angeles neighborhood many refer to as “the Black Beverly Hills.” The concept was co-created by Rae and Scandal producer Raamla Mohamed, who are also set to EP and co-write the series together.

The hustle doesn’t stop for the Golden Globe nominee, as she’s also collaborating with The Turner House author Angela Flournoy on a drama about a family adjusting to the changing times in early ’90s Los Angeles, according to MadameNoire.

“I’m so thrilled to be working with Angela,” she told Deadline. “I was a huge fan of The Turner House and we feel so lucky to bring her beautiful storytelling to HBO.”
