Janet Jackson is known for her composure and calm demeanor, but the new mom had a rare emotional moment during her latest concert in Houston, Texas.

The life-long star broke down in tears while performing her 1997 song, “What About,” telling fans through tears, “This is me.”

“What About,” the song that triggered her tears, is about domestic violence. Sample lyrics include, “What about all the sh*t you’ve done to me? / What about the times you hit my face? / What about the times you kept on when I said no more, please?”

The moment came during an otherwise electrifying show, her second on the newly renamed State of the World tour.
