K. Michelle shares an introspective new offering on societal norms with “Kim K,” a Tupac-inspired single off her forthcoming album, Kimberly: The People I Used to Know.

Backed by the piano sample of DeBarge’s “A Dream,” which was used on ‘Pac’s  “I Ain’t Mad at Cha,” K. Michelle sings about the acculturation one of the most famous families of our generation.

Wish I could be a Kardashian so I could be black,” she sings. “Put my face over ‘Pac, wear my braids to the back / Throw a filter on that, ’cause ain’t shit real / And ain’t shit funny, so fuck how you feel!”

Later, K. Michelle makes references to Black Chyna regarding her legal disputes with the Kardashians. “I gotta f*ck with Blac Chyna,” she sings. “She’s such a lion, no Tyga / She’s just a constant reminder / Ni**as will sponsor vagina.”

“Kim K” is the latest single from K. Michelle’s forthcoming album Kimberly: The People I Used to Know, which will feature guest appearances from Featuring (“Either Way”), Jeremih (“Takes Two”) and Princess Nokia (“Princess Nokia Outro”). The album will be available on Dec. 8.
