It seems like every time a “Star Wars” movie teases its first trailer, the brother in the movie is in some kind of trouble.

Last time, Finn, played by John Boyega, was in a stormtrooper outfit running across the dunes of the desert world Jakku. This time, in the trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” he’s not even doing that much, he just seems to be in the ER. If you’ll remember, he took quite a beating toward the end of “The Force Awakens,” and wasn’t even conscious by the time the credits rolled. Maybe he’s getting fitted for a Darth Vader-style cyborg kit (complete with rims and tinted windows…just kidding, but that would be badass).

But there were some great moments in Blackness in the last film with him and Lupita N’yongo, who played CGI character Maz Kanata.

The trailer for “The Last Jedi” focuses on Daisy Ridley as Rey and Mark Hamill who returns to reprise his role as an aged Luke Skywalker, apparently training her in the ways of the Force.

Disney, of course, is being tight lipped about plot details of the newest film in the series, which they have already expanded with “Rogue One” and will continue with a Han Solo-focused prequel, featuring Donald Glover of “Atlanta” as a young Lando Calrissian.

We’ll have to wait until next year for that one, but “The Last Jedi” is scheduled for release Dec. 18. Hopefully Finn will be triumphant this time and not wind up in the galactic Sunken Place.
