While this year’s Academy Award nominees guarantee the ceremony won’t be an #OscarsSoWhite experience, it appears one cast member from the critically acclaimed favorite GET OUT was completely looked over.

Lil Rel Howery revealed on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live that he wasn’t invited to the prestigious ceremony, despite playing a major role in the film.

“Well, I thought I was. You know, we called today looking for my ticket. And they were like, ‘You’re not in the first group.’ So, the first tickets that they give out, I’m not on that list.”

It seems he shared the bad news with the right person, as Kimmel will be hosting the Oscars for the second year in a row,  guaranteeing the stand-up that he’d pull all necessary strings to make sure Howery has a seat.

There’s also the possibility that the complaint may have come a bit early, as nominees are the only ones guaranteed tickets for the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Academy is not expected to review studio requests until next week.
