Meek Mill is currently serving 2-4 years in a Philadelphia prison, yet he’s one step closer to an early release following the Philadelphia District Attorney recommending the “Dreams & Nightmares” rapper receive a new hearing.

While in waiting, Mill called into CNN Tonight With Don Lemon Monday night to discuss his trial and to encourage voters to elect fair politicians.

“The most important thing I want to say is, vote. When it’s time to vote for governor, when it’s time to vote for judges, D.A.s, vote,” the rapper said. “Let’s vote for people that’s in to justice reform and helping the urban community. ‘Cause, you know, we’re being affected by it but we’re not voting.”

Judge Genece Brinkley, who has been handling Mill’s criminal cases since before the fame, has been accused of being bias against the MC. Fortunately for the star, she has agreed to give the rapper a second hearing.
