Michael Jackson's death has brought countless people with varying claims out of the woodwork. The most recent is person to go public with an alleged secret is Jackson's former bodyguard Matt Fides, who is claiming to be the biological father of Jackson's son, Blanket. According to Fides, he says that Jackson had asked him to be a sperm donor in 2001 because Jackson had wanted an "athletic child." Of course, Fides now would like to play a more central role in Blanket's life, he says, although he insists that he has no interest in replacing Jackson's legacy:

“Michael is their father and I do not want that to change, but I want the children back in my life.  The only way that’s going to happen is through legal action. I think Blanket is mine but I want final proof.”

Fides has gone as far as voluntarily offering his DNA sample for testing. While the parents of Blanket have remained unknown since Jackson's notoriously odd introduction of him to the public, many possibilities of his actual parents have been speculated. In addition to this parental guessing game, Blanket Jackson, along with his siblings Prince and Paris, surely have enough issues to deal with, including being permanently held in international spotlight in the aftermath of their iconic dad's death. Fides may be the most recent person to step forward with these claims, but with the ease of instant celebrity status on the rise, he certainly won't be the last.
