Always the open book, Monica Brown shared some on-going health issues the singer has been battling.

Over the weekend, she revealed in a post that late last month she had surgery after being diagnosed with endometriosis. She also shared that she’s been battling a wealth of other health concerns including a hernia, fibroids and cysts that were addressed during her procedure. “In life we have to count it all joy and know the unplanned may be in his plan. May 30th I had an almost 8 hour surgery to remove my endometriosis (which I didn’t know I had until two weeks prior) , 2 cysts, fibroids & a hernia that all were making me very sick…I’ve known something was wrong but I also knew victory & better health would be near again!! Thank you Dr. Ceana Nezhat & Northside Hospital Staff”

Endometriosis is a painful disorder in which the tissue that lines the inside of your uterus (the endometrium) grows outside your uterus and generally involves your ovaries and fallopian tubes. Not to mention, making sex unpleasant and your menstrual cycle a nightmare. But despite the complications, the mother of 3 seems to be on a positive road to recovery with a cute hair style to match.
