It’s not the Oscars—it’s waaaaaaay more fun. And risqué, just the way we love it! The 2013 MTV Movie Awards happened Sunday night, and as usual featured some of the best categories—and let’s face it, the awards we really want to see doled out, like Best Shirtless Moment.

In other words? It’s the awards show made just for the fans, honoring some of the biggest films from last year (the movies we all actually saw en masse).

There also were serious moments: Jamie Foxx (who lost out in Best Fight and Male Performance, but collected Best WTF Moment with Django Unchained costar Samuel L. Jackson) wore a Trayvon Martin T-shirt that didn’t go unnoticed by anyone. The shirt had Trayvon’s face on it, with the words KNOW JUSTICE KNOW PEACE. Foxx also was presented with a special honor, the Generation Award.

Sam Jackson collected the most trophies of the night, considering The Avengers was such a big hit at the MTV Movie Awards. “This is awesome,” he said after winning the first award. “This is a fan award. If it wasn’t for all of you, we wouldn’t have this golden popcorn.”

Movie of the Year went to The Avengers, which also costarred Jackson. Director Joss Whedon reiterated that the sequel will come out in 2015 (May 1, to be exact).
