Months after being accused of raping a fan on his tour bus, Nelly’s case has been dropped.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against the rapper after the accuser told investigators she did not want to assist in the prosecution or investigation, according to TMZ.
“Police responded to and investigated a sexual assault allegation involving Mr. Haynes,” a statement from the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, obtained by E! News, read. “However, within days of her initial report to police, the complainant, through her attorney, informed investigators from the Auburn police department that she did not wish to assist in prosecution or the investigation of Mr. Haynes.”

News broke this weekend that St. Louis rapper Nelly has been accused of the unthinkable by a woman who says she was sexually abused on his tour bus.
The “Country Grammar” star was arrested Saturday morning on second-degree rape charges, hours after the alleged incident took place.
A rep for the hip-hop star later told TMZ, “Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation. Our initial investigation clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness. I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”
Now, the man himself is also speaking out. In a series of tweets, the 42-year-old vehemently denies any wrongdoing.

He later retweeted a post from Colin Kaepernick, who was recently falsely quoted as saying he’d stand for the national anthem if allowed to play in the NFL again.
The quarterback posted a quote from Winston Churchill that the MC clearly felt also applied to his situation.
