Forman showed his appreciation on Twitter and even said his son was happy about the news.
“I’m still stunned and processing. My son, age 8, doesn’t impress easily. But even he seemed moved for a moment when I showed him a list that had his dad and Kendrick Lamar.”
Thanks for all the love. I feel it. This thing comes with no warning, so I'm still stunned and processing. My son, age 8, doesn't impress easily. But even he seemed moved for a moment when I showed him a list that had his dad and Kendrick Lamar.

Forman is, of course, referring to rapper Kendrick Lamar who won a Pulitzer for music for his critically acclaimed third album Damn.
