OWN to air docu-series featuring Michael Sam.
The Oprah Winfrey Network announced today that it plans to air a multipart documentary series about University of Missouri football alum Michael Sam, who made history this weekend by becoming the first openly gay player to be drafted into the NFL. The series will follow Sam as he prepares to join the St. Louis Rams next season.
