OWN’s critically acclaimed series Greenleaf will return with a two-night premiere on Aug. 15 and Aug. 16 at 10 p.m. ET. The drama series follows the Greenleaf family and their Memphis megachurch, Calvary Baptist. As the sophomore season of the series continues, we’ll catch up with Jacob (Lamman Rucker) who has left his family behind to join Calvary’s long-time rival church Triumph Ministries. Greenleaf matriarch, Lady Mae (Lynn Whitfield) is still trying to come to terms with her son’s abandonment. Patriarch Bishop James is struggling with his newly diagnosed illness and the division within his family. Charity (Deborah Joy Winans) is coming to terms with her newly single status and a possible new job on the horizon, and Grace (Merle Dandridge) has finally collided with her Uncle Mac (GregAlan Williams) for his abuse against her now-deceased sister Faith and other young women.

Greenleaf is one of the top five original scripted series on ad-supported cable in W25-54 in Live+3. The series is also Wednesday night’s number two in original scripted cable series for W25-54 and one of the top three original scripted cable series for African-American women and total viewers.
