Drake recently announced his decision to go vegetarian, resulting in PETA penning an open letter to the 6 God, asking him to fully commit by ending his partnership with outerwear brand Canada Goose.

If two vegans are angry at each other…is it beef?

“Canada Goose touts a phony respect for the environment yet kills ducks and geese for their down. The company also uses painful steel traps to catch wild coyotes—who pray to make it back in one piece to their families but instead suffer and are killed in horrible ways so that their fur can go around someone’s neck,”  the letter reads, in part.

It goes on to say, “We’re just saying, Drake: You could do better. There’s no excuse for an artist and role model of your caliber to disregard the acute suffering of these sensitive, feeling beings. Please cut ties with this company immediately, and moving forward, partner only with progressive brands that don’t harm animals.”

PETA reports brands including Gucci, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, The North Face, and Patagonia no longer use fur, while outerwear companies such as HoodLamb, Save the Duck and Wully Outerwear stuff their coats with down-free materials.
